I've done tattoos on two other people now.. one of the shop apprentices and one of my friends. I just finished the colors on my friend's back piece yesterday--took about 2 hours. We discovered all kinds of interesting places where it hurts a lot. I also learned a lot about stretching the skin on the back. It looks like linework is still difficult on soft skin there--I'll need to re-do some of it, much to her chagrin, but I want a nice piece. Anyway, as usual the colors look really nice.
I have a lot of drawings and photos to update here, but my external HD has been having a bunch of trouble, not to mention I've been busy every day of every weekend since October, so I haven't scanned or bothered with much.
In good news, I've made my New Year's card lino block already so I've got that out of the way. yay!
time to go to work..

that is so neat your in nagoya! and in my hometown as well :3  Do you have a job over there? Do you have a family and are you living together with them?

sorry for the questions xD
:iconkoshii:
Haha, no problem. Yes, I'm teaching English and working part time at a tattoo shop, as an apprentice. My family is all in America, so I'm living in an apartment with a roommate and a naughty ferret and some kabutomushi.
How about you? Your grandparents live in Nagoya? :3

thats so neat! very cool ^^ Are you fluent in japanese? oh wow thats really awesome.. :] Yes ^^ most of my family live in nagoya and throughout japan, I barely have close family here in the US because I was born and raised in nagoya for about 9 years. my dad got a job and we moved here to vegas. -.- but every year i would go back the whole summer but not this year because I got a job here. and planning on going back in the spring time to see family, friends and hopefully find a job. ^^ I'd love to get job experience over there as well :3 since I can speak japanese. :]
:iconkoshii:
Lol no I barely speak any Japanese as I've only lived here 2 years and could only read a little when I came. There were no classes available at my schools so I just studied with flashcards so I knew all my kana and some kanji! Now I can make small talk and understand a tiny bit of TV... maybe 10%? I talk to a lot of adult conversation students who go to Vegas a lot for business! They are always worried about moving their family to the US and feel so nervous. Now you're telling me the same story from the other side! Weird!
