Hi all.
My pageviews have rolled over 10,000 recently (when did THAT happen??) and I wanted to say thankz to all you little kiwis for that.

Here's what's shaking in my art land:

Nihon no Tenshi
A series of angel spirits, each personified by a kanji and a number, from 0 to an as-yet unspecified number. As for colors, I will probably do 'em. Currently not working on a new drawing.

MALFORMA
After a sad hiatus, these seem to be returning to life. I am carrying the book around again and have the urge to draw in it. More MALFORMA are being sparked and I found myself able to finish one quickly (in two days) as I used to. Hooray! As for colors, I will also probably do 'em. I'm liking the idea of coloring these.

Deep-fried rendered digital paintings
I have two drawings that I intend to render up with light source and all that jazz, but haven't started. They are the Deer God and Cat God in my "scraps" section.

Traditional painting
This is the exciting part. I got some paints that said "acrylic color" only to find to my astonishment that they're actually jars of gouache, totally matte opaque watercolors with brilliant dye, for the low low price of a dollar a jar. Man I'm not even kidding. I have experience with watercolor so this was quite a trip for me. You can see my first experiment in the painting "Give and Receive".
I've been looking at Amano art after recently seeing an exhibition of his, in which I discovered his secrets--big paper, gestural pencil lines, and globs of watered acrylic for color. It's so do-able!!

White Eye Productions
Expect some new stuff out of this. I'm starting some books involving old folk legends and obscure fairy tales, the ones people have forgotten...and a few stories of my own. Keep yer eyes peeled.
